STRC has just released another batch of new aluminum option parts for the Team Associated B5/B5M buggies. The new option parts include a new aluminum rear camber link mount for each, aluminum hex adapters, and aluminum upper shock mount bushings.
Each are direct replacements for the stock plastic parts, and are intended to add durability and style to your ride! Each part is available in blue, gunmetal, or silver.
ST Racing Concepts has launched three more aluminum option parts to their growing lineup of Team Associated B5/B5M parts.
Increase the durability and precision of your Associated B5 series buggy’s steering with their new CNC Machiend Aluminum Steering Bellcrank set. This 3-piece steering bellcrank set reduces flex to give your buggy a more precise feel on the steering and increase the durability against hard landings. It also adds great looks to your Associated B5 series buggy.
Upgrade the stock plastic rear hub carrier with the STRC precision CNC Aluminum Hub Carriers. Featuring all the same geometry and shape as the stock pieces with the durability of high quality aluminum material, and the hub carrier features no anodizing for the bearing holes for the tight tolerance and fit.
You can now replace the stock plastic caster blocks with STRC’s high quality CNC machined aluminum caster blocks. Featuring all the same geometry as the stock components, these aluminum caster blocks are designed to greatly reduce flex and increase durability over the stock plastic pieces, while also adding a factory look to your Associated B5 series buggy.
JConcepts has been on top of weight saving items since the beginning, and now are making those items available to the Team Associated B5 vehicles. A critical point of the axle weight revolves around the front axle itself, along with surrounding geometry, hexes, and pins. Within the steering block the space is very tight and especially between the 2 front bearings where the front axles rests. The cleverly designed JConcepts axle is quite simple, straight-forward and eliminates ~38% weight over a stock steel replacement axle.
I have ran the titanium camber links and have had no issues with them.
I'm going to try those out....
Another thing I would recommend upgrading would be the MIP "Pucks" Bi-Metal Associated B5/B5M R-CVD Drive System. The drive system allows you to lighten the drivetrain without sacrificing the durability that steel components offer. Also with this R-CVD™ design, it couples your original axle components with the MIP Bi-Metal bone to keep costs low and give you the essentials to transfer over to MIP’s Puck system. Of course the system is accompanied by 7075 hard anodized aluminum outdrives and the necessary components to build your aluminum puck diff.
Schelle B5M Aluminum Rear Ballstud Mount is a must-have to replace the kit plastic part on a B5M. Impeccably designed and precision machined, the lightweight ballstud mount adds durability in addition to increased tuning options. Along with standard kit width mount holes (middle hole on the Schelle part) there are option close spacing inner and outer holes which give added fine tuning for the upper links.
