The video below is my unboxing and review of the Spektrum DX6 6-Channel DSMX Transmitter Unboxing and Review. This RC aircraft radio is made by Spektrum RC brand, which is owned and run by Horizon Hobby.
Here are my unboxing and review notes for this radio:
Cons:
- Draws a lot of battery power quickly
- Not a beginner radio (There are lots of ways to make mistakes, so get help from a buddy if you are a beginner with this radio)
Pros:
- Updated look and feels great in your hands
- 250-Model Memory
- Backlit display
- Voice Alerts
- Built-In Telemetry
- Programming for Airplanes, Helicopters and Sailplanes
- Easy to bind aircraft to it
I bought this because my Spektrum DX6i ran out of model memory a long time ago since my hanger continues to grow every day. It is full of Parkzone and E-flite brand RC Aircraft using 2.4GHz DSM2 and DSMX.
This video is my Unboxing, Review, and Test of my new lithium ion battery pack for my DX6.
Here are my unboxing, review, and test notes for this set-up:
Cons: - Pretty expensive to get started - It takes a long time to charge (Over 5 hours on a brand new pack for me) - No charge light to know when the pack is done charging
Pros: - Simple upgrade - Operates at a higher voltage, so in theory better performance - It should save me a lot of money over time vs alkaline batteries
