I use whips/scrubs when i need to re-angle the car in the air (kinda as seen in the video) i also find it helpful (at least for me) to keep a flow going and to keep a nice consistent rhythm going.

Do you have any tip/secrets or does that video give a good idea how to scrub?
that video does pretty good justice on how to although the type of jump you are jumping can certainly change the way you want to whip and how much you'd want to whip the car. The best way would be to practice at it. The way i whip at least is almost like a dirt bike whip where i turn the wheels hard in the desired direction as the front tires are just about to leave the top of the take off, then once in the air the sooner you turn the wheels back the bigger the whip usually becomes (although they can become out of hand if they go too far haha)
I have used VRC to practice whipping my RC. It almost like the real thing.
vrc in my opinion is like you said almost the real thing but it doesn't do its justice in whipping an rc car, it does whip but it more flails rather than controlled. thats just my opinion however.
